HOW IT WORKS

Ovivo gravity clarifiers are used for primary settling of influent wastewater with high total suspended solids and for secondary clarification of biological solids after an activated sludge process. Solids undergo flocculation in the feedwell to improve settling characteristics followed by several hours of settling time in the clarification zone. Settled solids are removed with high efficiency blades which draw solids to the center where they can be removed by pumps.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

  • Suitable for wastewater with influent TSS (Total Suspended Solids 1,000 – 10,000 mg/L)
  • Suitable for secondary treatment after activated sludge or Carrousel® Systems
  • Suitable for 100,000 – 10,000,000+ gallons per day of wastewater, depending on influent strength.
